Q: can electricity be generated by means of an algae named ipomoea ?
can this algae be used in some process like biomass gasification to generate a clean gas which can then be used in a gas generator to generate electricity ?
A: I don’t think so. Ipomoea is not an algae but a species of plant.
The genus Ipomoea, with over 500 species, is the largest genus in the family Convolvulaceae. Most of the species bear the common name Morning Glory.

Q: Existing Biomass Energy Power Plants utilizing Municipal Solid Waste?
Can you name some currently existing/operational biomass power plants generating electricity through gasification of municipal solid wastes? Thanks.
A: The RESCO plant in Saugus, Massachusetts burns municipal waste as is and is compliant with all emissions standards and has been doing so for more than 30 years. It generates power to be sold on the open market.
